2. Marriott Courtyard Hotel
Description:
- The Marriott is a 4 Star hotel with very good facilities and a backdrop of Victoria Harbour. The rooms will, on average, be larger than in many alternative hotels.
- The hotel “offers a complimentary shuttle to the major Hong Kong Island business districts” (including Central, where the Conference venue is located). This shuttle also goes to the piers and train stations.
- For those wishing to see some of the cultural and touristic sites of Hong Kong and the region before and after the conference, this is a good base on Hong Kong Island with convenient access to Kowloon and other districts of Hong Kong. The Mini- and Boutique- hotels are obviously much closer to the conference venue and the business district.
- It may also be possible for conference participants to stay at the Marriott before and/or after the conference proceedings and yet relocate to one of the other accommodation venues for the actual conference itself.
Other ways of travelling between the Marriott and the Conference Venue (Ming Hua Theological College, 1 Glenealy, Hong Kong Central):
- For alternative transportation, from the conference venue:
- The Marriott is a short taxi ride (7-12 mins).
- We will encourage people staying there to share taxis to and from the hotel.
- It is approx. 20-30 mins via public transportation or 35 mins on foot (but bear in mind the humidity at this time of year!).
- A tram stop is located right beside the hotel and the subway station is a few mins walk.
